Second Annual Conference of the Czech Association for European Studies “From the Eastern Partnership to the Association – The Great Debate” was organised by Department of European Law at the Faculty of Law of Palacky University, in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Czech Association for European Studies on 17th to 18th of June 2013 at the Czernin Palace in Prague.
The conference represented the final output of the Jean Monnet research project granted by the European Commission involving scientists from the Czech Republic (Assoc. Prof. Siskova from Palacky University), Germany (Prof. Müller-Graff from University in Heildeberg), Ukraine (Assoc. Prof. Petrov from Kiev-Mohyla University in Kiev) and Slovakia (Prof. Kunova from Comenius University in Bratislava).
The mentioned conference constituted a significant forum for the exchange of views concerning actual issues and future prospects of the Eastern Partnership. The conference involved scholars from Members States of the EU as well as from the Eastern Partnership countries. Representatives of the European institutions (incl. judges of the European Court of Human Rights and the Court of Justice of the EU) were also invited.
